Tuesday 22nd June

Today I was up really early with Abigail. She wouldn't go back to sleep so we got up and washed and dressed and then I started on the housework. I wanted to sweep and mop all of the floors which as I've mentioned before, takes ages! I also had loads of washing to do as Abi wasn't well in the night and was sick all over my bed and hers. So I got the sheets in to wash nice and early because I had to get them dry before bed time and at the moment we don't have a dryer or an airer so I have a make-shift airer in the spare bedroom (which will become Abi's bedroom once our things arrive). I put the clothes on the airer and turn on the ceiling fan to get them dry quicker.

Abi had a temperature pretty much all day so we spent the whole day chilling in the apartment. We played and watched some TV on the laptop and then at 4.30 p.m (when it was a little bit cooler) I went downstairs to the vegetable stall. I bought some garlic and green beans to make a dish for Dylan that he used to love.

When we got back to the apartment I spent the next hour in the kitchen. I made DJ the green bean dish with rice and I made Abi baby rice for the first time. She was not impressed!! I managed to get her to eat about 5 spoonfuls but she didn't seem to like it. Will try again tomorrow. Also, Dylan didn't eat the green beans that I made. I can't believe it – he used to love them but for some reason, today he wouldn't touch them.

I took the kids swimming at 7 p.m for 15 minutes and then brought them home, showered and changed them and they went to bed. I stayed up to wait for Penri (as we are still sharing one front door key which means he can't get in unless I open the door). I also ordered Pen some Chinese food for dinner.

An hour later and Pen came home but still no sign of the food. I called them to ask where it was and they said 10-12 minutes away. Half an hour later and still no food so I called again but just then it arrived. When he gave us the bill, it was double what it was supposed to be so Penri questioned it and the delivery guy kept saying 'it's right' and Penri kept pointing out that there was no way it was right! After 10 minutes of using mobile phone calculators, the guy finally agreed it was wrong and called the restaurant to clarify. It was nearly double what it was supposed to be! Anyway, Pen had his dinner and I went to bed.
