Monday 12th July

We've had a fairly busy day today. Woke up nice and early after a better night with Abi. I checked her gums last night and she has a second tooth coming through at the bottom so that's probably what's causing her some discomfort. At 9.30, because we had been up so early, Abi was ready to go for a nap. At around that time I had a text from the lady I was buying the drawers off to ask if I could pick them up this morning. I explained my situation to her that I don't have a driver or house help (until the afternoon) and asked her if she had someone who could help me carry the drawers from her block to ours. She was really lovely and and offered her driver and maid to carry the drawers for me. We agreed I would go over at about 10 a.m.

Before that Dylan and I went to the Estate Office on our compound to get a car sticker for our car. All the cars need to have an identification sticker in the windscreen to show they are registered to these apartments. We came home and put everything in the house, then we walked over to the lady's apartment so her driver and maid could follow us home carrying the first chest of drawers. I also bought the leather beanbag she was selling so I carried that back.

When we got home I could hear Abigail screaming the place down. Penri was holding her and asked where we had been. As soon as I held Abi, she stopped crying and was giving me the biggest smile ever. I think she thought I'd gone and wasn't coming back!

Anyway, we put both chests of drawers in Abi's and Dylan's room and then DJ watched a bit of television while I cooked lunch. In the afternoon, I spoke to my sister on Skype and then did a bit of tidying up. It's funny, even though we have a cleaner, the flat just seems to get so messy so quickly (and we don't even have all our stuff yet)!

The afternoon seemed to fly by and at about 5 o'clock, Alex brought Issac over to play. The boys ran around enjoying themselves and then when they left we had dinner and I got the children ready for bed. We didn't swim yesterday because it was Monday and the pool is closed all day (for cleaning). So, I was hoping for an early night but as it turned out, DJ didn't go to sleep until about 10!
