Sunday 11th July

I don't know why but Abigail slept really badly last night and as a result, Penri and I slept really badly! She was awake pretty much every hour and seemed like she wanted to feed but would then fall asleep immediately. As soon as I laid her back in her bed, she woke up and started crying again. If I tried to soothe her she just started screaming! I don't know if she had a tummy ache, tooth ache or what it was, but something wasn't right. So, this morning when DJ came into our room at 8, we were all really tired before the day had even started.

Once I'd had a coffee and woken up a bit, I was feeling a bit better. I made DJ's breakfast and then while he was eating, I started to get ready to go out. We went to Ambience Mall (again). I think Penri was quite excited to drive his new car and DJ was definitely excited. Penri didn't think he would remember the car from yesterday because he was so tired when we picked it up in the evening that he was a bit spaced out really. How wrong he was … when we went down to the basement, Dylan went running to the car and saying 'DJ car! Daddy car!' He was so excited about it!

We got to the mall with no trouble at all; there was hardly any traffic on the roads at all. We had some lunch and then went in Fun City. We also did a bit of shopping – not much really, but I was quite keen to get home. Abigail was really tired and I couldn't seem to get her to sleep well in the pushchair. So, at about 3 p.m we came home and chilled for a bit. Abi had a short nap and then at 5.30, I took both children swimming. We met Alex and Issac at the pool and swam for nearly an hour and a half. The swimming pool was hot like a bath! It was really nice.

After swimming, we came home, Pen cooked DJ dinner while I got the children ready for bed. As DJ has stopped napping in the day now, normally by between 7 and 8, he is so tired that he just goes to bed with no trouble at all. If we have been out in the day, he pretty much tells us he's ready for bed; he gets his dummy, his pillow and climbs into bed. Bless him! Tonight was one of those days – he was just so exhausted after the busy day we have had. Both children are now sleeping. It's 10 p.m and we're waiting for our Chinese food to be delivered. Ordered about 2 hours ago but that's pretty normal in this country. Will write more tomorrow … Night x
